You know who you are

So, Christmas time is over.
Unfortunately it happened that just before (or on) the Christmasdays, a few members of my family, including myself, were emotionally/mentally (some physically) really not well...
That gave these days a different charge. Nevertheless I had nice days. I tried to make the best of it with my family in our house and it were truly still cozy times. I got some great presents, and some sweet cards, mails or sms's from 'long time no see-friends' and ex-collegues. It was heart warming. You know who you are. (Reminds me of the song 'Who you are' from Jessie J., whom I find a great singer and these lyrics are just perfect. Find them through Google)

Now that we are stepping into 2012 within two days, I just wanted to wish you Health, in all its forms. Cos it's the most important thing.

To you, those who are there for me or think of me....you know who you are....thank you.

To you, those who suffer....you know who you are...I wish you health.

Well, hope to write a lot in the next year, with a lot of 'happy happy joy joy' blogs! :)

Let your love flow

I found this on the internet and liked the picture as well as the text. The message suits well on this Yule day and tomorrow's Winter Solstice. Once again, I wish you good days. I won't be around here until, I guess, the new year. I'll be having a job interview and then rest a lot and enjoy the decemberdays!

Watery

This week was bad...... Tears, emotions (= water) and rain ruled the day. I felt bad and my dog felt bad.
I actually do like water; swimming, showering, drinking it. And a fit of weeping is sometimes necessary and can be a relief. My dog on the contrary doesn't like water at all. He doesn't swim and he doesn't even think of being outside when it's raining. I have to drag him outdoors and when he is, he walks with me but after 5 minutes he's done. (and he hasn't even pooped)

So, what do you do when you are feeling so watery and sad?
Exactly, shopping!
Buying things to keep you dry, warm and happy!
I got myself some warm sweaters and a lipstick in my favorite color red. To be sharp; 'Temptation red'. :)
And I got my dog a raincoat!

Dry and happy we'll be!

Red kisses, Shanna

Zaanse Zussen

Hello people,

December will be magic again...!

Hello readers,

Today we have December's first celebration; Sinterklaas. After tonight, he will return to Spain and soon another celebration will follow; Yule/Winter Solstice (21 December) or Christmas. The Winter Solstice is a pagan/wiccan celebration and in some ways the Christian Christmas is like that. The main theme is: darkness versus light, chaos versus order. On this 21st December, we'll have the longest night and shortest day. From that moment on the (day)light will grow; we celebrate the rebirht of the sun .

Although I attach no real value to Sinterklaas and the Christian way of celebrating Christmas, I secretly do like to celebrate sómething. That will be Winter Solstice on my own and I follow that on the 25st with my loved ones at home.
Today I celebrated Sinterklaas in a different way. No kids involved, no lots of candys and chocolat, no evening with the moon shining through the trees, no jute bag filled with presents. Just me, my friend at noon with two tiny little presents to unwrap. I really liked it to create and buy something. It was just symbolic and a nice gesture. Here's my little present I got from her; a drawing and a heart of glass. :-)

Well, it's kinda early, but I already want to wish you all happy holidays. In whatever form you will celebrate it. Just celebrate the light, whatever that may mean for you.

December's a time of new beginning, previews, exuberancy and inspiration.

December will be...magic again!

Kisses from the Ice Queen ;-)

Inspiration - Quotes 1

Inspirerend or what?! ;-)
